Comments about Enfamil Nutramigen® with Enflora™LGG®:
My son is 8 weeks old. We tried 5 different formulas before this one. After 3 feedings he was not fussy or in pain (from a belly ache) anymore. He would scream and cry during feedings and this formula has changed that :) We had major constipation issues with other formula and this formula works wonders to move bowels. This was more of a concern for us because our son has spina bifida and one of the problems that can occur is a loss of bladder and bowel function from nerve damage. It would take our son 7 hours sometimes to have a bowel movement while using other formula. As soon as we made the switch he became more regular and did not strain at all to have a bowel movement.
Pros
- Easy To Digest
- Tastes Good
Cons
- Expensive
- Smells Bad
Best Uses
- Infants
- Newborn
- Preemies
- Toddlers
Comments about Enfamil Nutramigen® with Enflora™LGG®:
My daughter would projectile vomit after almost every feeding. She would scream and cry a lot. Her little tummy was like a rock. We fed her an ounce then waited 15 min, then fed another ounce, then waited 15 min, so forth and so on to keep milk in her so she would grow. We tried 4 or 5 different formulas because she had thrown up formula from the very first time she tried it, but when she started throwing up my breast milk I knew something was wrong. After some online research I found out about Nutramigen. I decided that I was going to buy a 12 oz can and give myself enough days for her to eat the entire can before I had my own sanity meltdown. The next day she was a brand new baby. She was calm, smiling, and cooing. She was not this screaming new baby I had grown accustomed to for the past 2 months. I honestly didn't expect a formula to work as fast and as well as Nutramigen did for her. Yes, it's on the expensive side if you don't qualify for any assistance, but well worth every penny. Another con would be that the formula smells bad/weird. She has never shown any indication that it tastes bad to her, but she started smelling like the formula after we switched to it. The best way I could describe the way she smells would be to say she smells like a "cheezit" cracker. She poops just fine on this formula (usually 1x per day), but if for some reason she doesn't, I just give her some juice and the sugar from that starts moving things right along.

Thank GOODNESS for Nutramigen!
Thank goodness for this product. My baby girl was absolutely inconsolable (screaming and arching). every night starting at 7 pm. After discussing this with her pediatrician, Nutramigen was recommended. The first bottle that I gave her worked! It was like a new child. She is so happy and playful now! Thank you Nutramigen!
