DHA and Why it's Important
During the first 2 years of life, a baby's brain develops rapidly and is especially sensitive to nutrition. That's why many experts believe it's important to get DHA during this critical time. DHA is a fatty acid that acts as a building block for a baby's brain. And Enfamil Newborn has this brain-nourishing nutrient that is important to a baby's development.
The Abc's of Vitamin D
The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends 400 IU of vitamin D daily. Enfamil Newborn provides this amount in 27 fl oz. close to the approximate daily intake of a newborn through 3 months. Vitamin D is important because it:
- Helps the body absorb calcium and phosphorus
- Helps build strong bones
Prebiotics and Your Baby's Natural Defenses
Prebiotics feed the good bacteria found naturally in the digestive tract where 70% of your baby's immune system is located. Emerging science suggests prebiotics may support a baby's developing immune system. Enfamil Newborn has a Natural Defense® Dual Prebiotics® Blend, designed to help support your baby's own natural defenses.

Use to supplement baby since not producing enough milk. OB/Gyn gave sample before baby was born just in case. Since baby was losing weight shortly after birth pediatrician recommended enfamil newborn also. Baby loves it after breastfeeding. would definitely recommend it to anyone having a new baby also.

Comments about Enfamil PREMIUM® Newborn:
My son spent three weeks crying from 7pm-11pm. I tried breastfeeding him, but he would only comfort nurse and not really eat much. We thought he had colic. In preparation for day care, we started giving him Enfamil Newborn once a day so that we could leave a can with his day care in case he ran out of brestmilk bottles. The very first time we gave him the Enfamil Newborn at night, he went the entire evening without crying and slept 5 hours straight. He is still on breastmilk the rest of the day, but now we always give him Enfamil newborn before bed. It helps the whole family have a quiet night and a good night's sleep.

Comments about Enfamil PREMIUM® Newborn:
when i had my first son this is the first thing he had very good but also he spit up way to much. It was deffantly better than formulas 0-12months because enfamil newborn is desined for babys under 3months who can't digest everything yet. I am very glad i could have it for a while even though it was a little more than i would of liked.

Comments about Enfamil PREMIUM® Newborn:
At first I was using this along with breast feeding. Once I had an issue of not being able to produce enough milk, I had no choice but to go to formula only. My daughter loves it! The smell isn't so bad, and it doesn't stain her clothes. She's able to keep it down & has normal wet & stool diapers.
At first this was hard to find in stores but we used the website to order & found retailers in the area when we forgot to place an order by using the link on the website.

Wonderful!
My daughter is doing wonderful on this! So happy. My previous two children had to change formulas several times. This newborn formula is what they put her on in the hospital and we haven't had any problems at all. She hardly ever spits up and has no gas issues. We haven't used the first gas drop. The only problem is that it is hard to find. Of course she is doing to good on it that I am willing to search for it.
