In honor of Build-A-Bear’s 25th anniversary, we’d like to share the story of our very special Teddy: the boy with a special heart who inspired the creation of Enfamil.
Teddy Mead Johnson was born with a heart condition that made it difficult for him to get proper nutrition from breast milk. His father, Edward Mead Johnson Sr. then set out to devise a formula to nourish Teddy and other babies so that they could grow healthy and strong.
